Rolling Meadows is a neighborhood on the east side of Madison with nearly 2,400 residents. The city-recognized Rolling Meadows Neighborhood Association (RMNA) organizes community events and supports the interests and wellbeing of residents. All neighbors are welcome to participate in all public meetings and activities organized by the association.

Location

Rolling Meadows is located in Madison, Wisconsin near the north side of Lake Monona, just to the east of U.S. Highway 51 / Stoughton Road. The neighborhood is accessible from Milwaukee Street and Cottage Grove Road.

 

Parks

Rolling Meadows and nearby blocks have a wealth of public spaces to enjoy. Parks in the neighborhood — each with playgrounds, sports fields, and which allow dogs on-leash — include:

There are also several other parks very near or adjacent to the neighborhood, including:

  • Hiestand Park (4302 Milwaukee Street), just to the north, featuring full-size soccer fields, a sledding hillside, and an 18-hole disc golf course;

  • Kennedy Park (5202 Retana Drive), just to the east next to Kennedy Elementary School, featuring a playground, picnic shelter, soccer field, and separate courts for tennis, basketball, and sand volleyball;

  • Heritage Heights Park (701 Meadowlark Drive) a dog-free park southeast of the neighborhood, including a shelter, playground, tennis and pickleball courts, several disc golf baskets, and the Heritage Sanctuary conservation area.

Boundaries

The neighborhood is generally considered the area bounded by Milwaukee Street to the north, Cottage Grove Road to the south, U.S. Highway 51 to the east, and Meadowlark Avenue to the west. It is adjacent to the Eastmorland, Heritage Heights and Elvehjem neighborhoods. We welcome any and all neighbors in close proximity of this region to join local events and meetings held by the neighborhood association.
